Grouting the mural

Here you can see I am grouting the glass pieces in black grout ( my favorite) . Taking a break from the last women's hair  I am doing alittle grouting.

A better view of the 6 women on the mural....Keep watching...The faces are painted in oils. The whole project is constructed out of 4x8 sheets of plywood
in a frame of 2x4s for strength then all 3 panels are bolted together to become one 12'x8' mural. and there are braces and legs in the back to stand up. Very heavy with all the glass and grout.

The workings of the glass mosaic hair

Here you can see I am working on the glass mosaic for the hair on the mural , I have designed the hair to be in glass mosaic and the background will be in found objects. The faces are painted in oils.

New studio in my backyard

Here is the new outdoor studio in my back yard to work in for the ARTPRIZE project.    I havent posted lately , I have gotten pretty far on the mural ..... Start here I will add more photos.
